Terms and conditions

1. CAMPAIGN PRODUCTS, CAMPAIGN BENEFITS, CAMPAIGN PERIOD AND PARTICIPANTS

1.1 This campaign only applies to the products listed below (hereinafter “campaign products”) when purchased from retailers located within Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia or Lithuania or from online retailers with a registered address or a domain in any of the countries included in the campaign and when purchased during the campaign period beginning on Wednesday, 1 May 2019, and ending on Saturday 31 August 2019 (hereinafter the “campaign period”). All other products are excluded from the campaign.

Some campaign products might also be on sale as so-called kits, i.e. bundles including a camera and a lens, but these kit lenses are not included in the campaign and they are not available for a reward. The camera and the lens must be purchased as separate products. The purchases must be genuine, i.e. conducted using cash or a corresponding means of payment.

1.2 All participants must be at least 18 years old and residents of Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia or Lithuania. Distributors and other retailers are not allowed to participate in the campaign. Retailers and distributors are not allowed to participate on behalf of their customers.

1.3 All participants are deemed to have committed themselves to these terms and rules.

1.4 Purchases of second hand, refurbished or reconditioned products, or products which are counterfeit or infringe the intellectual property rights of the Canon group companies in any way (including but not limited to similar or “grey market” products) will not qualify under this campaign. 1.5 The photography course cannot be converted into cash or another gift wholly or partially. Canon reserves the right to provide a similar product (similar or better with regard to its features or value) if the course is unavailable.

2 PARTICIPATION

2.1 To participate in the campaign, the participant must purchase a camera included in the campaign during the campaign period AND register it by filling out an online form successfully between Wednesday, 1 May 2019, 00:00 a.m., and Sunday, 15 September 2019, 00:00 a.m.

2.2 The registration must be done by filling out the entire form at https://www.canon.dk/kampagner correctly (including the serial number of the product). The participants must scan, upload or attach a copy of their receipt or, in the case of online purchases, their order confirmation to the online form.

The participants are sent an email to confirm the receipt of their reward claim.

Once the claim has been approved, the participant will be sent the following information by email:

a) a personal username and password to an online portal for applying for a potential €50 reward on the purchase of the campaign lens;

b) a link to the online portal in question; and

c) a campaign code for claiming the Cameralla photography course. Valid until 31 October 2019.

2.3 To get the €50 reward, the participant must purchase a lens included in the campaign between 1 May 2019 and 30 September 2019 from the same retailer from which he/she has purchased the registered camera AND apply for the reward by filling out the online form successfully between Wednesday, 1 May 2019, 00:00 a.m., and Sunday, 13 October 2019, 00:00 a.m.

The participant must apply for the reward via the online portal to which he/she receives a username and password by email after the registration of the camera has been approved. It is possible to apply for the €50 reward only after the participant has received the username to the online portal.

2.4 Campaign products are available as long as stock lasts. Canon is not responsible for any delivery problems concerning the campaign products during the campaign period.

2.5 Canon will not process camera registration claims received after the deadline for sending out the claims on Sunday 15 September 2019, 00:00 a.m. Canon will not process lens reward claims received after the deadline for submitting the claims on Sunday 13 October 2019, 00:00 a.m., or claims that it deems incomplete or illegible. Canon is not responsible for claims received late or submitted unsuccessfully.

2.6 Cameralla Club grants the participants access to the Cameralla photography course. The rights and obligations concerning the software (e.g. use, updates and the repair of errors) are subject to the agreement between the participant and Cameralla. As the licensor of the software, Cameralla is solely responsible for providing the end-user with technical support and relevant services concerning the software according to Cameralla’s own valid service policies. CANON SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY OR RESPONSIBILITY WHATSOEVER AND HOWSOEVER ARISING IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE, NON-USE OR DEFECT OF THE SOFTWARE.

2.7 It is possible to apply for the campaign benefits only once per purchased campaign product.

2.8 Companies or private individuals that carry out a large single purchases (more than 10 campaign products during the campaign period) are not entitled to participate in this campaign.

2.9 This campaign cannot be combined with any other campaign except with Canon’s lens reward campaign—see the terms and conditions in detail at www.canon.dk/lens-promo/.

3 REBATE

3.1 When purchasing a lens included in this campaign, the participant will get a €50 reward.

3.2. Upon receipt and verification of the claim, Canon will arrange for a direct BACS transfer payment to the participant’s bank account. No alternative arrangement will be entered into and no cash or cheque will be provided.

3.3 Canon will endeavor to transfer via BACS within 4–6 weeks of receipt of a complete and valid claim.

3.4 Only one BACS payment will be issued per valid claim.

3.5 If you are VAT registered and you receive a rebate, it may reduce the taxable value of your purchase and you may need to reduce your input tax accordingly.

4 ORGANISER OF THE CAMPAIGN

4.1 The campaign is organised by Canon A/S, Knud Højgaards Vej 1, 2860 Søborg, Denmark

5 DISCLAIMER

5.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Canon shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of any nature howsoever caused, sustained by any participant under this campaign. However, nothing in these terms and conditions shall have the effect of excluding or restricting Canon’s liability for personal injury or death caused by the proven negligence of Canon’s employees or agents.

5.2 Canon reserves the right to void, amend, and/or change this campaign at any time without incurring any liability whatsoever.

5.3 Canon reserves the right to audit any claims to ensure compliance with these terms and conditions and to request additional information and supporting documents. Canon reserves the right to exclude claims and/or participants if it suspects that the campaign is being abused in any way. Canon’s decisions in relation to the campaign are final, and it will not respond to any complaints against them.

6 DATA

6.1 All personal data submitted to us will be processed by Canon Oy, its representatives or their group companies for the purpose of administering this campaign and, as applicable, when the participants have agreed to receive marketing messages from Canon. 6.2 If participants do not wish for their contact information to be used for marketing purposes or to enable Canon to contact them in future regarding similar campaign, they should NOT check the relevant “opt-in” box when completing the claim form.

7 LAW AND JURISDICTION

These terms and conditions and all disputes arising out of or concerning them shall be governed and interpreted by the laws of Denmark, and they shall fall within the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Danish courts.
